This time last year I was in Bulgaria. Facebook Moments has told me so. Today I am working from home after a rubbish nights sleep as my 3 year old woke up at 4.30am hearing the wind and rain and my other half snores like a freight train and gets up at 5.30am for an early train to London. In between payroll spreadsheets, credit card reconciliations I get a little call ‘clean my bum please!’ It is all rock’n’roll here.
I often post nice pics of days out and lovely food…this is my reality! Sometimes a little dose of reality does us no harm. So today I am juggling childcare, working the day job and a getting a bit of pro bono work for the charity for which I am a trustee done.
I need a shower, it is 2pm and me and crazy toddler are still in pj’s. I have eaten a whole box of Jaffa cakes and a bacon sandwich. My laundry basket is overflowing, we are running out of towels and 3 year old has now decided to empty out every toy box to find a particular police car and his Blaze monster machine truck. And Facebook threw me reminders of our trip to Bulgaria. Bastards.
